1/ Adding orders and volumes for delivery

Your order management service adds orders from your ERP or a simple Excel file: products, volumes to be delivered, customer data (name, address, possible delivery schedules).
You can also add this data directly to Opti-Time while taking orders from your customers.

Each product type is ranked according to its weight and volume.

You will configure your resources: warehouses, number of vehicles, delivery personnel work schedules, location, etc.
 

2/ Creating, optimising and adjusting schedules

The schedule manager launches the route calculation and optimisation function. Opti-Time plans overall route schedules based on previously identified customers and available resources.

Each order is automatically assigned to the most strategic warehouse in order to divide your routes up evenly. They are then assigned to the appropriate delivery vehicle and drivers.
The Opti-Time engine calculates the best routes for lowering your delivery costs: minimum number of kilometres to travel, optimal vehicle load, full schedules for delivery personnel etc.

The call centre can access a special interface at any time to add, cancel, or move appointments (urgent order due to an inventory shortage, request for an anticipated pick-up related to a waste overflow, etc.).
Schedules are then recalculated in real time.

Each night, warehouse logistics managers log in to Opti-Time to access the schedules. They add driver availability changes (time off, absence) and validate schedules generated for the next day.

They launch the "re-optimisation" function to plan routes more accurately by taking into account road data.

The schedules are now set. Times for customer visits are specified to the nearest hour. A delivery notification is sent to each customer by email or sms.

3/ Exporting waybills:

The schedule manager exports and prints "waybills" through Opti-Time. These waybills contain the list of products to be loaded into the vehicle.  On the loading dock, delivery persons load the products and then check to make sure that they have everything before leaving for their route.

They also have the scheduling for the deliveries to be made (customer, address, products, delivery time).

4/ Deliveries and communication in real time:

Opti-Time communicates with the mobile devices of delivery persons in the field (Iphone, TomTom, Blackberry).
Delivery persons get to the delivery locations by following the instructions on their devices.
