Magellan Ingénierie and Delia Systems Join

Magellan Ingénierie, an expert in route optimization and cost reduction, and Delia Systems, a specialist in corporate scheduling and staff management, have joined forces to offer optimal route optimization solutions for all companies, from SMEs to major corporations!

Delia Systems and Magellan Ingénierie have worked together for years on partner projects.
Armed with a range of complementary products, these two companies decided to move forward together in the hopes of achieving a leading position on this growing market. The new company will be listed on the Paris Stock Exchange in the first semester of 2008.

This new service will respond better to the needs of Delia Systems and Magellan Ingénierie’s customers. This will give companies hesitating between a ‘route optimization’ and a ‘real-time scheduling’ software' the chance to immediately choose a comprehensive solution. According to Benoît Quévy, CEO of Magellan Ingénierie, “several of our customers have requested a task scheduling system that works in real-time to be used in their call center to offset unforeseen daily challenges. We now have the perfect solution for their request.” Yvon Corcia, CEO of Delia Systems, stated, “our customers often require very precise scheduling of itineraries, especially when it comes to complex routes. They need a product that takes road traffic and different characteristics of the vehicle into consideration (heavy loads, hazardous materials, special vehicles…). We can now meet this demand head-on”.

The new entity, OPTI-TIME SA, has a staff of 50 people, 18 of which are in R&D. Offices are located in Paris, Grenoble and Caen. Earnings in 2008 are expected to exceed 6 million Euros (with more than 80% of this figure attributed to licenses and maintenance). International operations represent 35% of this figure. Direct sales presence covers France, Spain and Italy and, starting next spring, Latin America. Distributors are firmly established in the United Kingdom (Xmbrace), Spain, Italy, Germany and Austria. In total, 27 countries are covered, made possible by a network of more than forty distributors.

TourSolver and Opti-Time: Distance and Time Management

TourSolver, a product of Magellan Ingénierie, is recognized as a benchmark on the media, institutional food services, home hospitalization and health logistics markets. TourSolver generates a list of the most efficient routes and itineraries based on both occupational constraints (daily schedules, load capacity, etc.) and precisely-mapped directions to the address. TourSolver is a ready-to-use product that organizes which customers to serve first based on expected traffic, which is calculated using road statistics. Magellan Ingénierie is also marketing ChronoMap, its business mapping product, as well as programming components, Chronomap Developer Kit and TourSolver Developer Kit.
Opti-Time onDemand, a product of Delia Systems, is known as the must-have in real-time scheduling software for computer technicians, as well as for those managing installations, specialists and home delivery. Opti-Time simply maximizes interventions based on client demands, the skills and availability of staff and geographical and social elements, all in real-time! Opti-Time onDemand is available in SAAS mode (with a monthly subscription).
